Blaze let the morning light seep into her pelt. As she stood there in the middle of the bustling clan she felt relaxed. Completely relaxed.
There hadn't been many battles lately. In fact, Cheetahclan hadn't been in a real battle in many suns! Only small border tussles...
This was great, Blaze thought. She would go out on a patrol herself to get away for a little bit. To let herself relax. Yes, that would be right for the clan.
Blaze padded out of the camp through the entrance of thorns that only slender cheetah can make through without getting slowed down or ripped apart. As she paced along the open moors she let the breeze bustle her fur and her eyes squint to the sun. Her paws led her to the river. The dry ground got more and more moist, feeling wonderful under her paws. As she made it to the river the fishy and wet smell of LeopardClan overwhelmed her. She bent over to look into the water and notice the blaze on her forehead that she got her name. She closed her eyes and took a drink for the icy cool and clear waters of this river... Her fur prickled. She opened her eyes and saw another face looking into the waters. A leopard. She lifted her head and more of the Leopard scent rushed into her mouth as she spoke.
"Hello," Blaze dipped her head. She was not sure of which leopard it was yet, she had no time to examine her. "Nice day," She mewed taking a look up toward the blue morning sky and then back down across the river to the leopard.
